A Digital Runner portal

Runmaniac is the running race portal we designed and built from scratch: marathons, halves, 10Ks and trail races from all over the world, with dates, locations, distances and official links. It is free and sells no race entries: it is a service for runners.

Why we built it
Entering a race meant
jumping from site to site.
Calendars, organisers’ websites, PDF rules, entry platforms: to find the date, the fee and the deadlines you had to open them one after another. Runmaniac puts everything in one place. It sells no race entries and there is nothing to buy.
The portal, recorded live
From the search
to the start line
Recording 01 / 04
01
Search the way you talk
Type a sentence, for example “half marathon near Milan in March”, and Runmaniac turns it into filters: distance, place with a radius and month. Then narrow it down by country, Italian region or fee.
02
A page for every race
Date, start time, location, distances, fees and deadlines come from the organiser’s official website, and every detail keeps its source. Then the map, the GPX to download when there is a track, and the weather as race day gets closer.
03
Find your race in 4 questions
For anyone who does not know where to start: where, when, how far, and whether you want a big event or a small race. Every question can be skipped; at the end you get the races that match all your choices.
04
Majors and big series
The World Marathon Majors calendar, the SuperHalfs and calendars by distance, month and country, with the map next to the list.
On your phone
The same portal,
in your pocket
Search, race pages and the guided search all work on a phone too, with the bar at the bottom to move between sections.
The portal’s rules
Real data,
or nothing
Data from official sources
Calendars and aggregators are only used to discover races: dates, fees, times and rules are taken from the organiser’s website, and every detail keeps its source.
Clear dates
When the organiser has not confirmed the date yet, the race page says so. Confirmed dates are the ones written on the source.
Course and weather
Course map, GPX to download when there is a track, and the weather forecast as race day gets closer.
Six languages
Race pages in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German and Russian, with the same addresses. Race names are never translated.

The Runmaniac newsletter arrives once a month with the new races. You sign up from the portal’s home page.
