IN SHORT
Since 2 February 2025, Article 4 of the AI Act, the European regulation on artificial intelligence, has required every organisation that uses AI to develop its staff's skills with these tools. From 2 August 2026 the authorities are carrying out checks. Articolo 4 is Digital Runner's training project: four dedicated courses, registers, tests, personal certificates and an online course platform, for individuals, companies and training providers.

ANSWER
It answers from your documents, not from whatever it has read online. The difference between a toy and a tool.
The guardrails
Where the data ends up, who checks the answers, what happens when the model gets it wrong. These are the questions we ask before switching anything on.
What’s included
01
From the basics for all staff to managing the rules for those in charge. They were built by people who bring AI into companies every day.
02
Attendance registers, final tests with randomly drawn questions, personal certificates with date, duration and content.
03
Dedicated sessions in the classroom, live online or on demand, programmes built around the company and AI consultancy, in several languages too.
04
Ready-made courses to add to your catalogue, under your brand or both brands, and a platform to sell, deliver and certify them.
05
Learner identification, recorded study time, quizzes with questions that always change, automatic certificates, SCORM compatibility. Free for partner providers.
06
We review them every 6 to 12 months. When it comes to AI, a course from a year ago is already out of date.
A professional who wants to learn, a company that needs to become compliant and a provider whose business is training all have different problems. That’s why Articolo 4 has three ways in: online courses with a certificate for individuals, documented training for companies, and courses plus a platform for training providers.
The courses were built by people who bring AI into clients’ projects every day, and who speak from direct experience. On the project website, articolo4.ai, you’ll find the full catalogue. Or talk to us directly.
How we work

STEP 01 OF 04
01
Who will use AI, for what, with which data. The same training for the technical department and the sales team works for neither.
02
What the AI Act says, what it means for your company, which data must not leave the building. Explained in plain language, without reciting articles from memory.
03
We work on your documents and your cases. At the end everyone takes home two or three things they'll already be using the following Monday.
04
Certificates of attendance, materials and a short page of internal usage rules. They also help show that you've done your part.
WHAT WE WORK WITH
Better said up front
NO
We'll give you the certificate. But if the only goal is the piece of paper, there are online courses that cost less.
NO
If the decision has already been made, the training becomes an exercise. We'd be happy to talk it over first with whoever made it.
NO
Slides that work for anyone can be found anywhere. We build the day around your work, and to do that we need some material from you.
The questions we get asked
It requires providers and deployers of artificial intelligence systems to take measures to develop the AI skills of the staff who use them. Following the 2026 Digital Omnibus, no specific level or certificate is required, but it's wise to be able to show what you've done. It has applied since 2 February 2025 and also covers companies that use tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot in their everyday work.
Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 has been in force since 2 February 2025 and covers every organisation that uses AI systems, whatever the level of risk. From 2 August 2026 national authorities are carrying out checks. With the Digital Omnibus amendments (July 2026), the obligation is to take measures suited to your own context, without having to reach a certified level. Registers, tests and certificates are the simplest way to show what you've done.
Map the AI tools in use, split the training by role, document it from the start with registers and certificates and update it every six to twelve months. The Articolo 4 project covers all of these steps.
We’ve written about it

Tell us who's taking part and what they work with, and we'll build the day around that. Thirty minutes is enough to set it up.
Ask for information
Tell us what you’re interested in and where you’re starting from. The person who runs this service at the agency will get back to you with timing, approach and a rough idea of costs for a case like yours.
