GLOSSARY
ROAS
DEFINITION
ROAS (Return On Advertising Spend) is the ratio between the revenue a campaign brings in and what it cost. A ROAS of 4 means four euros of revenue for every euro spent on ads.
For e-commerce it is the benchmark figure, but it should always be read together with margin. A high ROAS on low-margin products may not be enough to cover costs. In B2B, the more common measures are the cost per qualified lead and the overall return on investment (ROI).
We measure it by channel and by campaign in our Analytics & Data service.
